videography durban flooding video

Hi everyone.

I know it has been a while but it has been very busy. I will post a few videos from the last two months and share with you guys all the work that has been happening. Just short of a month ago KZN was hit with severe flooding, 435 deaths with bodies still unaccounted for and millions of rand’s worth of damage to property across Kwa-Zulu Natal.

On Monday 11th April I was returning from Westville to Pinetown, I noticed the traffic at the Stapleton off ramp was backlogged, this either means an accident or…the river (Bloodbank River) is rising above the bridge and running over the road (Stapleton Road). I rushed home and got the drone. I drove to a road nearby the Bloodbank River bridge. In the pouring rain I switched the drone on and took off to get some river footage. I was very careful to fly the drone in the pouring rain. I could not risk damage to the drone.

As you can see in the video, the road is completely underwater. This intersection is always severely hit in heavy rains. At the moment of filming it was raining very hard! I was very fortunate to not have any damage to the drone. GCV Productions strives to be the best videographer durban.

Below are some links to other flood damage in Durban. It has been reported the floods have been the worst flood distater in the last 30 years!
